(...) The day that the Parliament was constituted, the three new Members
of Parliament from the CUP used several symbols to demonstrate that a new
system of political representation was possible, a revolution in the way of acting
with the aim of bringing politics closer to the people. One expects them
to offer frontal opposition to the new CiU (center-right sovereigntist) government.
There will be opposition in all areas except one, that of the referendum
on independence, where presumably, even as they show their displeasure
with the way the question is framed without including the Catalan Countries,
they will support it. In the words of David Fernández, they will only be in
agreement with CiU for a fraction of a second: at the moment they vote Yes in
the referendum for the independence of Catalonia. In all other areas, the CUP
promises to lead a policy of uncompromising opposition. We will be, they
say, “the Trojan horse” of the working class in the Parliament. The anti-system

Fa pocs mesos ha sortit el llibre What's up with Catalonia. És un projecte impulsat per Liz Castro, resident a Estats Units i que va animar-nos a un seguit de persones perquè col·laboréssim en un llibre. L'objectiu, explicar Catalunya i el seu procés per la independència a la resta del món. Es tractava de veure que darrera de la reivindicació econòmica i del context de la crisi, hi ha tot un país, tota una cultura que demana ser tractada dignament.
En aquest llibre hi hem participat 35 persones. El meu articles sobre sobre les CUP, the oldest and the newest independentists, on explico qui són les CUP d'on venen i cap on sembla que van. Paradoxalment els independentistes que han arribat més tard al Parlament són els que més història tenen al darrera.
Una vegada editat el llibre es va fer una campanya per poder enviar llibres a persones i biblioteques importants de tot el món i ara s'està preparant una versió en castellà.
